Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is based on the principle that cerebrospinal fluid which nourishes the brain and spinal column moves in a regular, measurable rhythm when in a state of good health. In the same way that cutting off blood supply to a limb will result in disease and death of the limb, any restriction to this rhythm, whatever the source, will ultimately result in ill-health and pain.
By using techniques that combine physical adjustments, non-obtrusive palpation of the tissues, and other more intuitive based methods, the therapist is able to identify key health issues and address them in the most appropriate manner.
Craniosacral Therapy is a deeply relaxing therapy that can be used in conjunction with other treatments and is helpful and often very successful with a wide range of conditions.
Among the conditions that have responded positively to craniosacral therapy are : menstrual problems, lumbo-sacral conditions, asthma, IBS, neck and shoulder problems, TMJ dysfunction, headaches and tension, migraines, sacral concussion and many more.
The technique is gentle and non-invasive but can be very effective. It is a partnership between the therapist and the client.
