Myofascial Release Diploma
Myofascial release is relatively new. The 1970 the first course entitled “myofascial release” was taught in the United States. Myofascial Release is a gentle therapy, consisting of a mixture of light stretching and massage work. During a session, the therapist will apply hands-on massage strokes in order to release tension from the fibrous bands of the muscles, bones, nerves and joints, by unblocking any scar tissue or adhesions due to injury or surgery in the muscles and surrounding tissues. During the course participants will learn how to perform myofascial release using techniques such as: Skin rolling Arm and leg pulls Cross handed stretches Transverse diaphragm releases At the end of the course participants will be able to perform myofascial release techniques. One can use myofascial release as a therapy on its own or include it into other body therapies
