For a long time I have had a fascination with the mind-body connection; how our state of mind influences our body and overall health. So many health issues and general unhappiness is stress related. After studying psychotherapy I've come to realise that we don't always have the words to express what we are feeling and that sometimes we need to listen to what our body is telling us.
Originally from Australia, I have been living in the UK for ten years. Having taken time off work to raise a family I have completed a Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Reflexology, Level 3 Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies and Certificate in Advanced Reflexology Techniques with Tony Porter. I am a full member of Association of Reflexologists.
Recently I have qualified in Holistic Massage and Deep Tissue. I am currently training in Sports Massage Level 4. I have found that Massage and Reflexology really complement each other and I am happy to combine treatments in a session. Treatments are very individual. Sometimes clients want a gentle treatment and holistic massage or a gentle reflexology treatment can be very relaxing. Sometimes a stronger treatment is required and deep tissue massage can be beneficial. Reflexology can also be very deep and therapeutic and by working firmly on the reflexes (although a little more painful) can produce more profound results.
