Naturopathy is an ancient system of healing used for centuries. Drawing on Traditional and Oriental medicine, its’ primary focus is supporting the body’s own healing systems to restore balance and wellbeing. It may also draw upon the wisdom of herbs, flower remedies, nutritional supplementation and massage, as well as traditional approaches to detoxification, behavioral and lifestyle counseling.
I work with integrating this approach with Western investigative and evidence-based Nutritional Therapy, focusing on food and how to use it therapeutically and providing a modern holistic approach to rebuild health, prevent illness and enable you to feel your best.
People often think of ‘diet’ as some highly restrictive regime of foods. The word actually comes from the classical Greek word diaita meaning ‘way of living’, and with the pressures of modern life, our daily diet and wellbeing is often one of the first aspects of our lives that gets compromised. Each of us is unique and it makes sense that no single approach can help everyone.

Whether you work in a busy office, are a worn out mum, or find your schedule makes it hard to stick to a ‘regime’, I can work with you to build a realistic plan enabling you to incorporate change into your life, manage health concerns and achieve your aims.I believe small, step-by-step changes to diet and lifestyle based on what you enjoy and can sustain are realistic long term. My philosophy is that nutritious, healthy food should be delicious, but as simple and fun as possible. Clients are often surprised how even seemingly small adjustments can lead to significant improvements fast. My integrative approach using Nutritional Therapy and Naturopathic principles can help a wide range of conditions including:
Weight loss – Whether you want a quick fix to lose a few pounds for a special occasion, need support to tackle longer term weight gain, or just want frank, honest advice as to what to eat when you’re bombarded with the latest dietary claims, I offer proven techniques to shift the weight for good and will show you how to keep the it off once you’ve lost it. I am also able to work alongside a personal trainer as part of an exercise program.
Stress and fatigue – including adrenal fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, impaired immunity and insomnia.
Depression and anxiety – Life can be hard enough and taking charge of your diet can be the first step towards a happier life. Because what we eat and drink has a crucial part to play in how we feel - correcting blood sugar imbalance, identifying allergies, deficiencies and balancing neurotransmitters - all have been shown to have a positive, lasting effect on mood. Studies show nutrition has also been shown to aid the effectiveness of prescription medication.
Women’s health – For hormonal conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and polycystic ovary syndrome, as well as important life stages such as optimizing fertility and managing menopause.
Digestive health – For treatment of heartburn and reflux, IBS, IBD and allergies including celiac disease and without the side effects of many drugs.
Skin Issues – For the largest organ in our body! Help with common conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and overall appearance and radiance.

With a background in music, media and the arts, I’m more than familiar with how a tough schedule can sabotage even the best intentions. Following extensive training in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Massage, I majored in Nutritional Therapy at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where I continue to be involved mentoring students in their final year of clinical training.
I am registered as a Nutritional Therapist with BANT (British Association of Nutritional Therapists) and in Naturopathy with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, both of whom promote a gold standard of practice and integrity within the profession.
I continue to keep up to date in an ever changing healthcare world by regularly attending continuing professional development (CPD) seminars and training programs as well as numerous cooking classes to hone my passion for creating delicious, healing food.
What to expect from our consultation
Before you book a consultation please feel free to contact me to discuss your concerns and goals. This is free of charge and will help you decide if Naturopathic Nutrition is right for you. There is no obligation to book a consultation.
First appointment (1.5 hrs) - a comprehensive case history is taken to discuss in detail your main concerns, dietary habits and lifestyle. I also use Naturopathic tools such as tongue and nail analysis and where appropriate non-invasive clinical tests to help ascertain any suspected underlying conditions or to assess progress.
You may also be referred to your GP or other health consultant with your permission for further investigations or tests. Nutritional Therapy and Naturopathy are complementary therapies, which means they can work alongside orthodox medicine.
We will agree a suitable action plan that is most feasible for you and you will receive a full written analysis.
Follow-ups (1 hr) – these review your progress and set new goals to continue moving forward to optimal health. The initial plan can be tweaked as necessary and we can go through any challenges you may have met. For clients requiring further support and motivation, more regular shorter appointments (30 minutes) are also available to ‘check in’ and stay motivated. This can be particularly beneficial for weight loss clients and for those undertaking big life changes.
