Andrew Hislop
Andrew's hours:
"Running and my passion for movement are key drivers for my interest in Soft Tissue Therapy. In my late teens I was training hard but not smart for half marathons and developed a severe overuse injury. This impeded my enjoyment of sport for many years. Recovery gave me a range of experience with different therapists, setting my path to retrain as a Sports and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist. My goal is to help people improve their general health, wellbeing and quality of life.
My Level 5 Diploma with the North London School of Sports Massage has set me up to treat the general public with daily discomfort and stress management, as well as high level athletes focusing on performance. My training had a strong focus on anatomy, physiology and assessment. Alongside the general techniques people think of as massage I have learnt advanced techniques including muscle energy techniques, neuromuscular, trigger point and soft tissue release. I am focussed on continuing my professional development with training courses to improve the effectiveness of my treatments.
Outside the clinic you might find me at your local climbing wall, out running the trails in Hampstead Heath or Ally Pally, or attempting to dance ballet and contemporary dance."
