Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on the subtle movements of the craniosacral system — the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. This system plays an important role in maintaining the health and balance of the central nervous system.
During a session, the therapist uses light, non-invasive touch to assess the body’s natural rhythms and release areas of tension or restriction. By supporting the body’s own self-healing mechanisms, CST encourages deep relaxation and may help restore balance throughout the nervous system and musculoskeletal structure.
Craniosacral Therapy may be supportive for:
- Headaches and migraines
- Neck, back, and sacral discomfort
- TMJ (jaw) dysfunction
- Stress, tension, and fatigue
- Digestive difficulties (including IBS)
- Menstrual discomfort
- General wellbeing and relaxation
The technique is very gentle, making it suitable for people of all ages, and it can be used alongside other treatments. Many clients experience a profound sense of calm, improved energy flow, and relief from long-standing patterns of tension.
